You will never succeed in dating someone who only sees the world through their own lens. You have to constantly tread carefully to spare their feelings, which makes every day difficult. Even though those close to you can tell that something is off, they cannot help you resolve the problem. Although they are powerless to stop your pain, family and friends are aware of it. Instead, they observe and avoid getting involved in your issues from a distance. The narcist sit back in their perfect world, thinking that everything is good, while you slowly succumb to a mental death. You are never really together, just two people living separately in the same space. You desperately want to push away, but you can’t. You find yourself asking questions about purpose and love. As they slowly swallow up your soul, there is a realization that this will never work. Nothing they tell you is accurate. So, I am asking you to come back to reality before it is all over.
